Village Voice's Description

A stone's throw from the Throgs Neck Bridge (what's a throg, anyway?), Tosca inherited a coal oven from a bakery, and immediately put it to use turning out excellent pizzas in the style of the old masters from Brooklyn and Manhattan. Though the menu touches all the bases of northern and southern Italian cooking, the best stuff is southern: eggplant rollatini and escarole soup.

Their sunday brunch is a must-do! I've had great experiences at Tosca and recommend to anyone going to the Throggs Neck area of the Bronx!
