The United Nations
New York, NY 10017
- Mon-Fri 9:30am-4pm
Village Voice's Description
While the U.N. does get to boast some of the ugliest buildings ever seen, it also gets to boast the most fascinating tour. Tours are in 17 languages, there's great artwork, and technically, if you are on U.N. soil you are on international soil, which is really cool, for some reason. Of course, visits cannot be conducted when the General Assembly is in session, but since that ever useful body only tends to meet once a year for a month, or something like that, scheduling around it is safe.
Hours: March-December Daily 9am-5pm; January & February Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
