Description

Village Voice's Description

The Red Lion is a haven for football-hooligan expats. Aside from the constantly airing games, the only things approximating Blighty for limeys on the go are a lone phone booth and bartenders pulling Newcastle. Live country and rock on most nights also sweetens the deal.

A real German pub. Great brew and Bratwurst. A low-key local gem. -Julie Kwon, Launch My Line

  • BBC AMERICA on 01/25/11

6 Nations Rugby Championship will be shown here. This pub transforms into the Home of European Sports: Soccer, Rugby and Cricket on the weekends. You'll find an early crowd here.

If you don't like this place .. Fuck you..

Where middle-aged men with broken dreams come to die.

  • Angela on 10/25/10

I go for food by day and music by night. The flatbreads are wonderful! Service is great! All the music I've heard/seen has been outstanding! Madison Square Gardeners, Mike Tait, Chris Barron and more!
