Description

Village Voice's Description

The Lower East Side music circuit welcomes all types of musicians, from massively successful anthemics to bright-eyed upstarts, and many of 'em get their start at the Local 269. The small space boasts a friendly stage and a well-kept bar, and its flourishes of antique chandeliers and a disassembled, bone-white drum set lend a gothic vibe to the constant revelry. The bar's $10-for-five-shots deal leaves none wanting, as well.

Go here and listen to live music every night. Usually supergroups of badass reggae, jazz and funk!

Wednesday nights: rock star karaoke! Sing with a live band to back you up.

Love the clean bathroom! Not many bars in this area have bathrooms that don't smell like hobo.
