The Hotel Chelsea

Map & Directions 222 W. 23rd St.
New York, NY 10001

Village Voice's Description

The best way to be someone in New York is to take a room at the Hotel Chelsea and never leave. Live in a tiny space, like Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, Arthur C. Clarke, O. Henry, and many others. You can drop by and check out the cityas first cooperative apartment complex, which was re-organized as a hotel in 1904. And stay for a while and become famous. It inspires.
