Village Voice's Description

This trendy boutique hotel, housed in one of the cityas first skyscrapers, is often filled with fashion industry scenesters because of its proximity to the Fashion Week tents, its luxe amenities like cashmere throws and 400-thread count sheets, and its own hip, contemporary design. Special extras include the 70-seat lobby screening room and yummy Ric Pipino bath products in the rooms (courtesy of his salon, located on the ground floor).

Tips from foursquare

  • Try the Kobe Beef Potstickers!

  • Jonathan A. on 10/03/11

Awesome - especially when you're not paying

  • Kyle L. on 03/15/09

Go to Koi on 40th, grab some crispy rice with spicy tuna and enjoy the sake.

  • Nick D. on 02/03/11

The Koi Dragon Roll is a life altering experience. Excellent service and they make a great Dark and Stormy. However, you're definitely at risk of braking the bank at this spot.

  • James K. on 12/11/12

Don't listen to Erica Plotkin. The crispy rice is over-rated.
