Village Voice's Description

Finding a cool, reasonably priced eatery in Midtown is as rare as finding a straight, sexy, single man in this city--until now. Enter Tenpenny, a delightful new spot tucked into the back of the Gotham Hotel on 46th Street. The décor is a little bland, but this ain't your meat-and-potato grub hub. Far from it. Porchetta ravioli with smoked ricotta, broccoli rabe, and a runny poached egg redefines "breakfast for dinner," while a heritage pork rack with savory apple pie is good old American comfort. Come dessert, be sure to try the chamomile panna cotta-the floral-flavored custard jiggles sensuously, like a courtesan who has lost her corset following a good romp.

Yeah, it’s a hotel. Start with an Unstrung Harp, get the vegetables appetizer and the pork to finish, with rye as a dessert. Who knew?

Try the roasted vegetables. The various, seasonal components are prepared in different ways and arranged in a gorgeous tableau. They’re one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.

Dark and cozy and beyond amazing food! Apps try beet salad, beef tartar, ocean trout crudo. Entrees: all pastas are soooo good! The pork rack is a MUST. A great addition to the area. Way needed.

Winner of Best Use of Ricotta in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! The porchetta ravioli makes use of Brooklyn's Salvatore ricotta in a fabulous way.
