Description

Village Voice's Description

This Williamsburg staple has been serving up contemporary American cuisine since 2004. The restaurant has a classic bistro feel with rich wood accents, tile floors, vintage photos and pressed-tin ceilings. The menu is small, with homey classics like roasted organic chicken and pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto complemented by gourmet burgers, including one made with lamb and tzatziki, and a few salads accented with everything from warm octopus and basil to beets and hazelnuts. Save room for the ever-popular banafi cake, which puts banana and toffee pie on a dark Oreo crust. The restaurant is also open for lunch every day from noon until 4pm serving both sandwiches and salads. The bar is packed on weekend nights, with people downing one of the eight beers on tap, including Gaffel Kolsch and a house amber ale. If you don't have American Express, you might want to run down the street to take out some cash.— Keith Wagstaff

Oh, it's date night. And you're totally getting some.

Take a seat in a comfortable booth, soak up the great atmosphere and be coddled by the excellent waitstaff. Order the delicious Sweetwater burger. Cash only.

the vinho verde is my new favorite refreshing summer white wine.

My favorite restaurant. Lauren is the best server ever! Love the atmosphere, just all around the best.

The food and service has gone downhill. While the French onion soup was good the kale salad and the lamb burger were really salty.
