Village Voice's Description

The specialty of this narrow stall on the thronged last block of Eldridge is hand-pulled wheat noodles originating in Lanzhou, a city in the northwestern Chinese province of Gansu. The preferred formulation features the noodles in a spicy red broth with slices of braised beef, but there are 16 other choices, including the house special, which arrives in a broad metal mixing bowl with lots of variety meats and a fried egg on top. Also, don't miss the steamed dumplings, filled with pork and fresh greens, exhibiting one of the thinnest dumpling skins you've ever seen.

  • Real Cheap Eats on 11/29/11

One thing that sets Super Taste apart from its competition is the amazing Mount Qi noodles: "a bright red, almost glowing, bowl of hand-pulled noodles with some really incredible spicing."

the hand-pulled noodles have just that right elastic feel. get it with the mutton (one of my favorite types of meat)

  • Serious Eats on 10/17/13

Cheap hand-pulled and knife-sliced noodles are the specialty here, along with boiled dumplings.

Get #2: Spicy beef noodle soup. If you're really hungry, order dumplings too. The waitress here has a booming voice.

  • Lodoe S. on 09/03/11

I think the booming voiced host is sick today pray for her!!
