Village Voice's Description
Soda Bar is like those parties people had in their dorm rooms in college, except with a lot of space. It's a good old drunken time and a serious regulars spot. You don't have to get in your hot-girl tube top. You can bike over in your "drunk neighborhood" clothes and fit right in. There's a pool table and a garden, and the boozing starts around 5:30. The bartenders keep getting nicer and cuter, and if you're too drunk to get home, the Rastas will probably escort you.
Tips from foursquare
Check out happy hour on the back patio: Rain or shine, drafts are $3, and well drinks are $5 from noon to 7pm daily.
Staff Pick! Shelley (Technology): Soda is awesome for letting us host a weekly Work of Art screening party w/ the big TV. Come Weds at 10pm thru Aug 11 to watch reality TV w/ museum staff!
Staff Pick! Katie (Curatorial): The Pierogi and beer-battered onion rings here are a great-tasting way to clog your arteries!
Staff Pick! Caroline (Design): One of the longest Happy Hours in Brooklyn! Cheap bar munchies help soak up the alcohol, too. An outside patio in the summertime makes it perfect to wallow away the day.
Their happy hour seemed to last for a few hours. Get some wings and relax on the nice plush couches. Just don't fall asleep or you might get your eyebrows shaved off.
