Once an abandoned landfill, in the 1980s this area was turned into an open studio and exhibition space for artists, as well as a neighborhood park.

Always a pleasure to visit, but make sure to check out the great programming they have in the warmer months. Thanks to Socrates, I learned how to pickle!

This spot is the quirky crown jewel of the Queens waterfront. Here, you can browse works by artists who labor for months to create larger-than-life pieces that invite you to interact and explore.

For once kids are actually encouraged to touch the artwork. Stay to watch the sunset – the park’s website has a link to sunset times.Powered by ParentsConnect.com
