Village Voice's Description

The metallic modernist architecture of this leafy Madison Square kiosk did nothing to detract from the eerie feeling of dining alfresco in Appleton, Wisconsin;kudos to the design firm SITE. The menu features good Chicago red hots, eggy (or perhaps just yolky) frozen custard, salty crinkle-cut fries, and best of all, wonderful burgers, reputedly ground from a combo of brisket and sirloin. They're hand-patted and juicy as all get out, especially when topped with American cheese. Only the fries were disappointing;but that goes along with the Midwestern park-food formula. Just dump on lots of ketchup.

Some of the most delicious fast food burgers I have ever had! I definitely recommend going!!! Be prepared to stand in line, but it always moves quickly and is worth the wait!

Not to be missed: French fries dipped in salted caramel, a.k.a. the stuff stoner dreams are made of.

The Shake Shack cheeseburger is a classic of Americana in the heart of NYC-a compact patty of juicy, medium-cooked meat plied w. lettuce, tomato, onion, & pickle, slotted neatly into a squishy bun

A great place to grab a burger and sit and read a comic book!
