Village Voice's Description
Marc Buzzio's family has been producing Northern Italian charcuterie for generations, never changing their old-school method: good meat, salt, and long curing time. From the outside, you wouldn't guess that this generic-looking steam-table spot harbors Buzzio's handcrafted salami, soprassata, coppa, and proscuitto, all of it made from heirloom Berkshire hogs. Piled on a hero, that homemade porky goodness is a rare thing of beauty--full of the low, mellow funk of well-aged meat. You can also buy homemade fresh sausages to cook at home.
Tips from foursquare
Roast Beef Mondays: We recommend the seeded roll, hefty enough to soak up the beefy juices poured over the top.
Try the Pastrami Sandwich and spot it on Foodspotting!
get a sandwich made with the house-made meats. Monday is roast beef special day.
Anything with sausage. Save room for the cheesecake!
For close to $8 I got a giant sandwich with 4 meatballs halved and smooshed into the bread then topped with sauce and cheese. It was a fine fine sandwich even though the bread was just okay.
