Merchant's Description

For more than eighty years, New York's defining cultural moments have taken place at The Russian Tea Room.

Since being founded by members of the Russian Imperial Ballet in 1927, The Russian Tea Room has been a second home for boldface names and the intellectual elite - an exclusive enclave where actors, writers, politicians, and executives plan their next deals and celebrate their friends’ latest Carnegie Hall performances.

Absolutely, 100% without question, the worst meal I have ever had.

From inflight meals, to remote villages in East Asia to 5 star restaurants to neighborhood delis and everywhere in between, this place embodied the worst of all sustenance I have consumed.

My cocktail, a $25 creation, the Cavitini described as a dirty martini with olives and caviar, was a glass of vodka... More >>

This is one of those places I have dreamt about going to since I was a little girl. When my father finally took me, I was old enough to drink, so we had the vodka flight and it was fantastic! It's such a beautiful place, and it is filled with so much history as well as attentive waitstaff and delicious beverages. Definitely a must-visit

This is truly like walking into a place of royalty. From the plush red booths trimmed with gold, to the elaborate ceilings, stepping off the busy streets of the city into this tea room is like stepping back into time. Not to mention, you'll feel so sophisticated taking tea here. The cinnamon Russian toast from the Brunch menu is delicious... and don't leave without trying one of... More >>

Try the Cavitini with Imperial Vodka made from wheat and rye served dry, chilled and up with 10-grams Hackleback Caviar and olives. It's a classic Russian cocktail and absolutely delicious.

Enjoy High Tea in style, or grab a cocktail in this Gossip Girl filming location from Season 2. Just don't get arrested like Serena.

  • Behind The Burner on 03/23/10

Order caviar anything; the sturgeon is delicious, moist and comforting.

Rasputin Cocktail Rocks! Don't miss it.

Hands-down worst service in nyc. Seated 2 hours before appetizers arrived... 4 hours and $250 for an unimpressive dinner for 2. Avoid!
