Village Voice's Description

Imagine taking a neighborhood Thai joint, with its affordable prices and popular noodle and curry dishes, and stuffing it inside of a nightclub. That's essentially the feeling at this Hell's Kitchen spot, the sister establishment to the restaurant of the same name located in Chelsea. The look is French colonial with a healthy dose of industrial design elements, with intricate white moldings and statues paired with metal chairs, shiny metallic curtains and mirrors galore. The look might be Studio 54, but the menu isn't too off-the-wall, including plenty of classics like pad Thai, Panang curry and pineapple fried rice. If you are feeling a little more adventurous you can always try one of the specials, including the Thai mango blackened catfish, green curry soft shell crab and the lychee Siamese duck. The clubby vibe comes complete with a long menu of specialty cocktails and a small selection of Asian beers.—Keith Wagstaff

Tips from foursquare

  • New York Habitat on 11/15/11

Cheap entrées and delicious food at this Thai hot spot. Stick with the classic Pad Thai and wash it down with the Lychee Sangria.

  • Corey K. on 02/26/11

A Thai restaurant focused on the bottom line: efficient service, striking decor and delicious food. ALWAYS packed with a busy crowd, this place never disappoints. A perfect spot to bring a date!

The half chicken & steak entrees were AMAZING!

  • The Corcoran Group on 12/02/11

This swanky and posh Thai restaurant is always packed – especially on the weekends. Get the Lychee Sangria, the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Panang Curry.

DELICIOUS THAI FOOD & SHITTY SERVICE THAT MAKES THIS RESTAURANT'S NAMESAKE SOMETHING OF A JOKE. That hasn't stopped me from coming back (mostly for takeout), but this place has a bangin atmosphere. Lo
