Description

Village Voice's Description

In emulation of the lobster pounds Down East, the modest bill of fare highlights the freshest seafood simply prepared, from the elemental Caesar salad with its pleasantly caustic dressing to the perfect clam chowder flavored with chives and smoked bacon to the lobster roll crammed full of meat. On a recent visit, the oyster roll was the best item, a mayo-smeared bun piled with 10 oysters so light they threatened to float up to the tin ceiling.

Amazing fried oysters piled high on a lobster roll with homemade chunky tartar sauce and sliver-thin fried shoestring potatoes. The oysters were fried to perfection and practically melt in your mouth.

Try the oyster roll- Perfectly fried oysters shoved into a butter-toasted Pepperidge Farm top-loader. The lobster roll is also delicious but a little pricier

Delicious seafood dishes like the favorite lobster roll with shoestring fries, or the oysters, raw or fried.

You'll forget you're in New York when you're devouring New England classics like lobster rolls and clam chowder. If you're in town for the summer, try the blueberry crumble.

You're getting a lobster roll right? Hell yes you are! Best lobster roll in the city.

  • The Corcoran Group on 08/15/11

Get here early for lunch, or be forced to wait on line and salivate while others enjoy a fantastic Lobster Roll and equally exquisite Shoestring Fries.

  • An exceptional seafood wine...the white Bizkaiko Txakolina from Spain's Basque region is a great option. Crisp acidity, citrus flavors, and a touch of effervescence. A really pleasant match.
