Village Voice's Description
Above the bar, an ornate stained-glass panel spells out the Patrick Conway's mantra, "Cead Mille Failte," which means "One hundred thousand welcomes." It's appropriate, considering all the different types of polite, city-dwelling people you'll meet here. A somersault away from Grand Central, this tame, quaint, and uncharacteristically well-lit Irish pub serves best as a universal pre-game station: One glass of Guinness (or two!) and then it's off to the office, the Fifth Avenue shopping circuit, the metro, the subway, the after-party, the hotel lobby, or--when the time finally comes--home.
Tips from foursquare
Very fast service if you ask for it. Perfect for a quick pint before the train.

Awesome barmen but no happy hour....which kinda blows.
Hey! That is my name! Maybe I deserve a free beer?
The Black Jack is their signature burger, a must try!
