Oliver's Bar & Grill
New York, NY 10014
Village Voice's Description
Past the sex shops, and slightly beyond such slightly more debauched pubs as the Slaughtered Lamb and the Four Faced Liar, Oliver's proudly stands as the block's singular source of purity. Wearing a shining, ivory coat of paint, the place fills two storefronts with massive windows, booth seating, mahogany fixtures, antique travel advertisements, and a scalloped brick ceiling. It's this goulash of cozy amenities that reels in the area's well-to-do, friendlier tourists, thrilled to have found a snug spot in which to throw back a couple pints of Stella Artois in, for the West Village, relative peace.
Tips from foursquare
Good place to grab a beer and watch the game.
Try the bathroom. Trust me.
The bathroom here is incredible
Yep. True. . Clean warm nice women's room. Hey all u bartenders under 30 do NOT call women in their 50s honey or dear. We were punks before u were born.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. We waited 30 minutes after our meal to get our first drinks, had to jump through hoops for cream for coffee, & at the end of the meal still no napkins
