Description

Village Voice's Description

This corporate-ish chain gym has nine locations across the lower half of Manhattan. While that might be a turn-off to alt-fitness aficionado, when it comes down to it, what that means is a surplus of equipment, convenience, and too many classes per day to make excuses about missing. Pools, basketball and racquetball courts, and rock walls are some of the facilities included with membership. There's also nutrition planning, massage, and personal training among other extra services. For the squeezing-it-in-after-work sect, it's gets the job done.

Merchant's Description

New York Health & Racquet Club’s 50th Street location overlooks the gables and parapets of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and provides convenient access to corporate members whose offices are located in midtown. An expansive workout area on its own level complements separate fitness studios, while other levels feature one of our largest pools and two squash courts where frequent clinics and round-robin tournaments are hosted.

C'mon guys. They have lots of towels here. Do everyone a favor and wrap one around your waist. No one wants to see that. K. Thanks.

Sasha is the best trainer there is. Get him! He's so nice and really listens to what you want to work on! He pushes you to your limits which is great too.

    Adam rocks!
