New Chao Chow Restaurant - CLOSED
New York, NY 10013
Village Voice's Description
The cooking of Chinese expats in Southeast Asia is featured in area Chiu Chow restaurants, the best of which is that ancient Chinatown fixture New Chao Chow Restaurant. Experience the cuisine's delicacy and piquant flavors in the deconstructed version of pho known as "broth noodles," and in the marvelous duck braised in thick soy sauce, which renders it a weird orange color.
Tips from foursquare
The wonton soup here will change how you feel about wonton soups forever. And get your noodle soup with mee pok/mian bao (flat egg noodle).
dive Chinese restaurant...that I love. mm wonton.
They're closed for renovations.
Get egg noodle soup with everything (seafood, pork and it's organs). If you want something new, try it without the soup. It's great! PS. The portion is HUGE!
Don't let the look deceive you! It might look like hole in the wall from outside but the food inside is SO great! The place is always full of Chinese people talking in Chinese so you can't go wrong :)
