Village Voice's Description

Lacking the awfulness of many in the Gramercy Irish pub glut, Molly's is a joy to partronize. The walls are adorned with the usual Celtic fetish objectsathe difference is that this place feels authentic. Orange light fills this once-smoky pub, casting a warm glow on the faces of fellow drinkers. The bartender is friendly to a cold stranger, even when the game blaring on the two TVs is going badly.

There are days when the only proper response to life is bangers and mash, pints of Guinness and sawdust on the floor. Here’s your man.

The burgers here are awesome, plain and simple. Enjoy one in front of the fireplace, along with an Irish Coffee to warm you up!

Drink a Guinness (or twelve) here. One of the best Irish pubs in New York City.

This classic bar survived Prohibition by posing as a grocery, and in 1964 was made over in its current style and named Molly Malone’s. Twenty years ago, it was renamed Molly’s Shebeen.
