Village Voice's Description
This 125-year old bar has swinging saloon doors, tin ceilings, and walls smeared in yellowed, decaying photos of old patrons and parties. Most people (men) here are regulars with exceedingly high levels of tolerance. When it comes to jukebox commandeering, try not to interfere with their requests.
Tips from foursquare
One of our 10 best Manhattan bars- At one of the last vestiges of the Old Bowery, the Pogues get played nightly and the regulars are like family.
Always tip well to lisa...nice smile!
Came here once with a friend. Next thing I know, we're both waking up in Central Park.
A dingy, horrible treasure
It's no longer cash only, they now take cards
