Village Voice's Description
The powerful margaritas;some engagingly seasoned with hot chiles;are the obvious lure of this hideaway, but the food might make you return again and again. The appetizer of three reworked guacs is way better than it has any right to be, and the Baja fish tacos are lip-smacking. Served with delicious homemade crackers, the ceviches are good, too, but not nearly as memorable and unusual as the stuffed cactus leaves. The hokey and serene Mexican Village decor of the high-ceilinged back room is another plus.
Tips from foursquare
This Choice Eats participant brought Tacos de Camaron: Shrimp, roasted garlic, chipotle mojo, and avocado. Tasty!
Try the mango guacamole-avocado, mango, jicama, and chile chipotle-big hit at Choice Eats!
sunday and monday nights = all you can eat little tacos all night long for $23 (happens other nights, starts later). here's the challenge: can you eat 10?
My favorite Mexican food place in NYC. Tacos pastor (pork-pineapple tacos) are the best.
Do a guacamole tasting and try the spicy drinks (papa low is my favorite)
