Village Voice's Description
Not the best ramen in the city, but a solid and utilitarian place to kill a craving. At lunchtime the place is filled with Japanese students and businesspeople slurping down the springy yellow noodles in various broths, like spicy miso, salt, seaweed, or pork bone. Toppings include sliced pork belly, scallions, bamboo, or a wonderfully gooey soft-poached egg.
Tips from foursquare
Pork Tonkatsu & Spicy Miso Ramen made me want to handcuff myself to my booth and live and eat there forever...and ever...amen.
My fav low key Japanese place in the city. Cash only.
Come for the ramen, stay for the music.
The Sutamina is a crazy good spicy Ramen (and they put an egg on it!)
