Village Voice's Description

Despite CBGB's new mantra as a tourist haven, the New York punk scene lives on at Manitoba's, owned by Dick Manitoba, minor rock God and former lead singer for Dictator. If there're no bands thrashing around, the rough-and-tumble jukebox picks up the slack, and the photo collection serves as a tour through punk's history. In these (sniff) post-election days, Manitoba's would be a likely place to ignite a surging anarchy movement.

Great People both in front of and behind the bar. Rockin' jukebox. Excellent prices all the time and especially during happy hour. Electronic Video/Trivia game. Owned by Handsome Dick Manitoba of the legendary punk band The Dictators. Amazing photos and memorabilia on the wall. Always a good time!

$3 well drinks & draft beer from 2-8 everyday!Good music, fun environment, and ridiculous happy hour. The bartenders were a little bitchy but it's completely worth it.

Coldest $2 domestic bottle of beer in the city! (til 8pm)
