Village Voice's Description
After hustling through the street vendor rites of passage (and getting married along the way), Christina Ha and Simon Tung opened their first brick-and-mortar pastry shop on St. Marks Place. Specializing in the delicate, popular French treats, the couple made their name hawking innovative flavors like candied bacon, passion fruit, and peanut butter-banana at the Hester Street Fair. The tiny store is a macaron lover's paradise, with a touch of American flair.
Tips from foursquare
We're fans of their macarons, of course, but might like the rest of their sweets even more.
Try the Candied Bacon And Maple Cream Cheese Macaron. (via @Foodspotting)
My wife and I have tried Macarons in quite a few places here and Paris and this is her favorite shop. Mom and Popesque, run by a cool younger guy and his wife. If you like Macarons try this place!
Candied bacon macarons! Amazing
A delightful distraction from the usual Saturday antics in the EV. Open until 12a on Sat!
