Village Voice's Description

Alphabet City's Latin fusion hub, Yuca Bar, entices the gullet through key specials. The happy hour extends from 1 to 8 p.m., all tapas are half off on "Loco Tuesday," and drink specials range from watermelon martinis to caipirinhas. In the spirit of the place's cuisine, the decor mixes together bits and pieces of Latin imagery--clay vases, photos of crowded apartment fronts, sunlight-colored paints--to relaxing effect. An order of plantains completes the experience.

Happy hour on Tuesdays - half price tapas! We recommend the Platano Relleno, wash it down with their tasty sangria.

Try the Arepas Benedictos and spot it on Foodspotting!

Go on Tuesday and 1/2 priced tapas and drinks! I recommended the caipirinha. Or go on any other day to get 3 sample tasting of their ceviche! It's worth totally worth it!

  • Anthony B. on 05/12/10

    e village's best mojito!

Make sure everyone in your party arrives at the same time, otherwise you get a side of sass and nowhere to park your rear until all are near.
