Village Voice's Description
Uptown comes downtown in this crowded dance hall, a multi-level club/tapas restaurant. Located somewhat antithetically on a scruffy stretch of the Lower East Side's infamous Ludlow Street, the bar serves up pricey cocktails with a splash of zealously guarded V.I.P. rooms. Dress up more than the Strokes to get in...unless you are a Stroke.
Tips from foursquare
Tuesdays it's $4 for ANY drink. So go get that Goose and cranberry while u can afford it. And I think it's a club on weekends but great place to watch a game. Plasma screens galore.
Don't let the club fool ya. Best place on the lower East Side to watch NCAA and NFL football.
Wonderful Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere, food and mimosas were great. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my hangout spot.
Get some Brazilian flair in your life and have a Sagatiba caipirinha...... Or try a chilled shot of the aged cachaca, velha. I think it just changed my world!!
Will just brought us a "peace offering" so I guess it's all good now... :)
