Village Voice's Description
Maybe to mediate his gangsta image, Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs opened a restaurant that's all cool beiges and subdued lighting, with an atmosphere as close to his stated objective of "family style" as the Flatiron District allows. Surprisingly, the food really rocks, with African diaspora chow from Cajun, Creole, Caribbean, and Southern sources. The jerk chicken wings were heavenly (skip the pineapple dipping sauce). Best entrées on the rotating menu were meltingly tender short ribs and a mellow brown gumbo bursting with seafood.
