John's of Bleecker Street
New York, NY 10014
Village Voice's Description
Don't even think of going to any of the other Johnny-come-lately branches of this august Greenwich Village institution--only the original turns out superlative thin-crust pies. Order the voluminous salad, dressed with red-wine vinaigrette, and ponder why the menu insists on listing every possible combination of pizza toppings.
Tips from foursquare
Get the black olive and sausage pie-The loamy fennel sausage is freshly made, the tomatoes bright tasting, the canned olives saline, and all the flavors come together deliciously!

Not as good as it used to be, but hits the spot when they cook it long enough for some char. Get takeout if you can't stand the line.
Brick oven cheesiness. Another one of NYC's best spots to get a pizza. They don't do slices so either come here with some friends or be prepared to eat an entire pie by yourself!
