Description

Village Voice's Description

Jazz aficionados don't immediately think "West Side Highway" when they're jonesing for some post-bop, but Jazz Gallery on Hudson makes the windy trek worthwhile. A bit more formal than the central West Village halls, the Gallery has the advantage of an airy main room and lovingly curated wall collections. Get in rotation.

Did you know that Secret Society's Darcy James Argue landed his first gig here? Its a place where music legends are made and an intimate jazz experience that only locals know about.

  • Angelica B. on 06/30/12

Real gem! Dress fresh&confy b/c the place gets really hot. For the jazz lovers they are now offering a summer pass for all Jul&Aug shows for only $35!

  • Sarah C. on 04/30/12

No frills. INCREDIBLE music. A true gallery. Bring your bottled H20 (please recycle), there is no bar or service. For those who can donate, please do; your contributions keep the music alive! Do It!

  • Always good music here.

  • Matt on 05/27/11

$1 bottled waters in the back. Way more reasonable than most venues.
