Village Voice's Description
You can't go wrong ordering shrimp: Start with the provocatively named naked shrimp, barely cooked and tossed with lemongrass and green onion in a sharp lemon dressing, then proceed to an entrée of shrimp with ground pepper and garlic-six jumbos deep-fried with a coating that's mainly garlic. Although the Thai food reaches a consistently high level, crowded tables and frantic service discourage frequent visits. The weekday lunch specials are a particularly good deal.
Tips from foursquare
Long list of tempting appetizers include deep fried fish cakes and Chinese sausages with lime and chilis. - Inspector
Medium spice = HOT!!!
I went for spicy, felt slightly bullish about it, confident about my taste receptors. And now I feel like a dragon that got kicked in the balls. The food is amazing, but don't overestimate yourself.
hands down the best thai in manhattan. get the naked shrimp appetizer! taste/price can't be beat or even compared. oh, and extra spicy is deadly; stick to medium!
Excellent Thai food and a pretty ambiance that includes a blue igloo-esque bar. The pad Thai and mochi were delicious. Service was good too. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu)
