Description

Village Voice's Description

Also known as Fat Baby Lamb, this Chinatown eatery is one of the first to present a northern Chinese menu. Foremost is Mongolian hot pot, a participatory meal in which you swish morsels of meat, seafood, or vegetable through a choice of broths: one herbal, one fiery, and one composed of soy milk and dates. Mutton is another specialty, offered in kebabs, stews, and funky dumplings with supremely good wrappers. The menu rounds out with Sichuan appetizers at this place partly aimed at Koreans-witness the bottles of the liquor called shoju lined up behind the counter.
