Village Voice's Description
Essentially, this is a library. Faint jazz or electronica tinkers in the background, but those who dare raise their voice above the clicking of lap top keys usually get sent home (by means of evil glares). Everyone appears to be craning their neck to see what the person next to them is reading a then, of course, making according judgments (note: Confederacy of Dunces was a hit). The cafA(c) has a slim selection of coffees, teas and cidersareasonable fare for getting to spend the afternoon in one of New Yorkas few (unofficial) whisper-only cafes.
Tips from foursquare
Order "The Dave" breakfast sandwich. Thank me later.
Slowest service ever
The couch is gross and broken actually, and the rest of the seating is stacking office chairs. A little disappointed.
Get the lemon cake, sit on the couch, and people watch the pedestrians on Smith for a perfect Sunday afternoon.
The Fall Cafe is no longer, closed, deceased, a dead parrot. Definitely deceased.
