Village Voice's Description

Also known as Rincon Centroamericano, this combination lunch counter, restaurant, bar, grocery store, and musical cassette emporium sports hand-painted maps of six Central American countries on its walls, but the food is mainly Salvadoran. While the stuffed pancakes called pupusas are just adequate (request the accompanying relish curtido if it's not provided), the mixed ceviche is distinguished-a tart and drinkable red broth buoying squid, baby octopi, flaky white fish, and decent-size shrimp. With a texture like pound cake, the manioc cake anomalously called a quesadilla is equally mouth-worthy.
