East Ocean Palace
Flushing, NY 11375
Village Voice's Description
East Ocean Palace represents the incursion of Hong Kong-style Chinese food (with Malaysian, English, and Japanese influences) into the Middle Class neighborhoods of Queens. It was recently chosen as one of the 10 best kid-friendly restaurants in town by our Fork in the Road website, not only for its spacious and comfortable dining room, and family-friendly ambiance, but also for the superb dim sum, which children invariably love. Favorite dishes include Tai Chi Soup (a literal ying-yang of seafood and spinach), mushroom-stuffed bean curd sheets, fried-rice balls stuffed with crab meat, and Malaysian curried oxtails in peanut sauce, served strangely with toasted baguettes slices.
Tips from foursquare
good spot for dim sum and dinner, they don't have a parking lot, but there's usually parking on the streets
Totally worth journeying out to Queens to visit this spot. If you've never had chicken feet dim sum before, you MUST order them here.
This old but revitalized spot does some of the best dim sum in Queens.
Great dim sum! Also good place to have dinner (fresh fish, lobster, crabs, etc) although a bit on the pricier side.
There is fresh dim sum here every day. If there's something you want but it's not out, they will make it for you. Service is amazing and the homemade XO sauce is addictive! My favorite dim sum spot!
