Village Voice's Description

Drom is haven for world music in a neighborhood packed with rock clubs. Traditional fasil music from Istanbul, lively gypsy bands, modern Middle Eastern dance music, DJs from around the world; you'll find it all here. The slick space features luxe leather seating for about 150 people and standing room for an additional 350 concertgoers. An ornate chandelier hangs from the high ceiling, hemmed in by exposed brick and blood-red walls. The menu has a Mediterranean bent. Order dishes like the mixed meze plates, lamb skewers served with couscous, Panini filled with spicy, garlicky Armenian sausage and hamburgers a la carte, or opt for the prix fixe menus available with the cost of admission for some shows. The venue has a full bar, with Turkish wines are available by the glass and bottle, and Turkish beer served along with more familiar brands like Corona and Miller Light.—Keith Wagstaff

I went there for a jazz event, Jacqueline Hopkins and her band. Great musicians and original music. Keep an eye out for this very talented singer-songwriter.

Here's my tip, don't normally leave one, weakest and most over priced drinks I have ever encountered in my 8 years of living in NYC. Order water and go around the corner to Cole Yard Bar.
