Demo's Wonderwheel Amusement Park
Brooklyn, NY 11224
Village Voice's Description
Evoking that neighborhood carnival feel, Demo's Wonderwheel has bumper cars, Spook-O-Rama and a somewhat bizarre Ferris wheel (the ride has the traditional rotating cars, but also cars that swing out from the center of the wheel). Beware: the rides here are terrifyingly rickety. Open April to October.
Tips from foursquare
Make sure you get on one of the red or blue swinging cars for the full experience. The yellow cars are for the less adventurous.

The Wonder Wheel has been in operation since 1920 & was designated a NYC Landmark in 1989. It is 150 ft tall, holds 160 passengers with 8 stationary cars & 16 cars that slide along serpentine tracks.
Definitely go with the swinging cars...extra fun.
there are a couple of photobooths inside coney island. one of the easiest to find is this one right in the middle of it all: next to the wonder wheel. (only open in the summer)
