Village Voice's Description
Culture in Park Slope treats frozen yogurt as a fine craft. The shop’s natural, intense product has developed a cultish following who appreciate the foodie take on fro-yo. Culture makes the fresh yogurt on site, and there is a focused menu of typically four varieties. But flavors change frequently, and Culture tweets flavors of the day @cultureny. The original recipe is always offered, and the Nutella flavor appears often, but seasonal and specialty flavors crop up, like blood orange, white chocolate, cherry pistachio, or black currant. Culture is generous with toppings, which range from gourmet basics like fruit, nuts, raw honey, and crumbles to more complex creations like the key lime pie or strawberry balsamic. In addition to fresh and frozen yogurt, there are cookies and muffins for sale and Culture pours Stumptown Coffee. The staff is friendly and the shop is simple—the sleek, modern interior gels with the quaint charm of boutiques-and-brownstones Brooklyn. --Alex Spoto
Tips from foursquare
Try the Key Lime Pie soft-serve flavor. Dressed up with crumbled graham crackers, it’s good enough to compete with any ice-cream sundae in town. It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.
Variety is the spice of life - thankfully, the special flavor changes daily! Always worth a taste.
