Village Voice's Description

This mini-museum features oddball relicsachunks of old Flatiron buildings, ancient Statue of Liberty memorabiliaain a tiny two-room shop. Some belong to the City Reliquary, some are the collections of others in the community. Pay 50 cents, and a women will usher you past a velvet rope into a room of curiosities well worth the quarters. The Reliquary is also behind a number of events, as planners of a Collectors' Night, a Brooklyn Bridge Birthday Bicycle Ride (on the Bridge's birthday, they ride to the top and eat birthday cake) and Bicycle Fetish Day, an annual street fair for bicycle enthusiasts.

A remnant from a long-forgotten Gotham, the wooden brick is from the last-known wooden sidewalk in Brooklyn, which ran along Greenpoint’s West Street in the 19th century.

One of the best little-known museums in town featuring community collections in the window gallery. Check out their back yard when the weather is warm and chat with the friendly volunteer staff.
