Village Voice's Description
The neighborhood artists might starve, but at this gallery-district spot you don’t have to. From the team behind Chelsea favorite Bottino, Chop Shop offers a sharable menu of Southeast Asian and Chinese dishes that range in size from small to slightly-less-small. Expect comforting standards like fresh pan-fried dumplings and shell-on salt-and-pepper shrimp. Though a few curries and noodle dishes lack serious depth of flavor, they are satisfying. Chop Shop charms with its eclectic taste, ambient lighting, and beautiful, white-on-white space.

I love this place. Excellent quality for a friendly price. Must try the dumplings.
The veggie dumplings and summer rolls are a winner!
A block or so away from Grand Sichuan, Chop Shop offers peace, calm, and fusion. With its quietude and humility, it's best for: an unassuming date.
Great garden in back - small plates, food is outstanding
