Village Voice's Description

Husband and wife Eric Korsh and Ginevra Iverson cooked at the Waverly Inn and Prune before taking over the old Belcourt space, where the duo now serves French country bistro fare among the candlelight and potted herbs. At Calliope, start with some pretty delicate versions of classic charcuterie, like tongue and pig’s head. Mains are generous and hearty, like the roast chicken with a glorious, impossibly golden skin, which comes with a cigar of rich, confit-stuffed cabbage. For dessert, go with the classic baba, a warm bun split at the table and topped with rum and whipped cream.
