Cake Shop

Map & Directions 152 Ludlow St.
New York, NY 10002
  • ATM, Free Wifi, Multi-Level

Village Voice's Description

From 9am to 4am, Cake Shop serves warm coffee and the sweetest indie rock in town. You can take your music live downstairs or enjoy excellently curated mp3s upstairs over one of the bakery's winning cupcakes. The cozy atmosphere, warmly attributed to trailer-type wood-paneled walls, and invitingly dingy
performance space arrayed with holiday lights gives this hipster haven a
particular chic that perhaps has to do more with the pastries than the tunes. Here you can have your music and eat it too.

Not only do they have amazing shows for very cheap covers, BUT they also make the best cappuccino I have had in the city

Go to Cake Shop on a random night. Reward your self with loud music in a tiny space underground. This is what Monday was made for.

  • Ear Candy Go: Music on 01/27/12

The small space lets you get real close to the band, but it can also get really loud so bring earplugs if you have a pair.
