Village Voice's Description

Flashing a square-shaped piece of cardboardapreferably with a splash of colorawill usually suffice to get into this massive library full of every academic book you could possibly need. The reference rooms, which have leather upholstered doors, old wooden tables, and not an inch of un-booked wall, are usually populated by sleeping undergrads, but there are plenty of less obvious places to read. Check out the 12 floors of stacksaaccessible by mini-elevator and sized for a small, say, four-and-a-half-foot, teen.

2nd floor across from the Men's bathroom is a study room; turn right as you enter and there a super quiet study area attached that has amazing alcoves to hide away in for hours.
