Village Voice's Description
A tarnished, downtownish mockery of the khaki-clad suburban establishment, Bushwick Country Club lives up to its name with dingy chandeliers and a miniature golf course featuring a windmill barrier constructed from PBR cans. Like the Club back home, membership has its privilegesanamely, drink specials. But a simple request wonat get every sucker a gold membership card. Current members have to refer potential newcomers, so sit back and make friends at the bar.
Tips from foursquare
On Saturdays and Sundays from 4 to 8pm, every tap beer, wine and well cocktail ($4–$7) that you buy comes with a plastic dinosaur on the side that you can cash in for another drink.
This club hosts the highlight of the annual DonorsChoose Moustaches for Kids charity contest, where growers gather to drink "picklebacks" (a shot of Jameson whisky and a shot of pickle juice).
Get the pickle back (pickle shot) with a whiskey shot. Tasty.
PICKLEBACK. PROVE YOURSELF.
