Village Voice's Description

Brooklyn Heights Cinema is an old-school, two screen moviehouse nestled into the brownstone-lined neighborhood just over the Brooklyn Bridge. Despite its tiny stature, this cinema features a robust mix of independent, foreign, art house, and mainstream films in addition to hosting a variety of special events and film festival screenings. A cappuccino bar with local baked goods augments the traditional selection of refreshments, but the traditional treats aren't ignored, like popcorn drizzled with real butter. The two 153-seat auditoriums are intimate but not too cramped, contributing to a thoughtful and well-curated atmosphere that's a cut above the modern Cineplex.

Go to a movie theater where the guy who sells the popcorn also sells the tickets and spools the reels.

Cozy independent theater that features independent, art house and foreign films, as well as real butter on the popcorn, cappuccinos and Brooklyn egg creams!

A cute nice movie theatre that runs indie movies and some bigger ones as well. Our last home against the corporate movie theatres that promote sterility over personality.

Compare with Cobble Hill Cinemas, which is more charming & wonderful? Tough call.
