Brooklyn Borough Hall

Map & Directions 209 Joralemon St.
Brooklyn, NY 11201

Merchant's Description

Built between 1846 and 1851, Brooklyn’s oldest public building, designed by Gamaliel King, was formerly Brooklyn’s City Hall. The stately, Greek Revival–style building is known and admired for its impossibly high columns, massive staircase, two-story rotunda lobby and stunning clock tower. Not surprisingly, the formidable structure is now registered as a New York City landmark.

This is a great people-watching spot, especially with the great summer chairs and tables. Also, gorgeous tulips in the spring!
