Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition

Village Voice's Description
Brooklynites missing their dogs can pop by the local shelter, Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition, and take a homeless pup for a walk. Not only is it healthy for the walker and the walkee, but it brings an animal one step closer to the final goal of adoption. But be prepared, BARC takes its animals seriously, and potential owners need to supply two letters of reference and proof that their landlord allows pets. If you already have a dog, they want to see it. Adoptions cost $100 to cover the cost of neutering and shots.
