Village Voice's Description
With its pine paneling and all-American feel, Barrows Pub could be some ironic hipster playground. Instead, it's more like a musty VFW hall transplanted from Binghamton or Buffalo. And thank goodness for that, since the happy-hour prices are country, too. A few malty Rheingolds later, you will mistake the Quick Draw terminals for pomo video projections, the potbellied construction workers for aloof V.I.P.'s, and the friendly bartender for a lockjawed bouncer.
Tips from foursquare
An honest neighborhood bar, that could be anywhere in America. That's a good thing.
One of very few legit dives in the w-vill. Dogs allowed, and Milk Bones usually abound on the window ledge outside.
Always a great place to up the ante!?!?!
Pro: You can bring your dog! Con: Your dog never offers to buy the next round.
The bathroom is like walking into a rainforest! But Natalie and Missy are the best!
