Description

Village Voice's Description

A master of cheese in its myriad forms, capable of using it in every course, Artisanal is the rare restaurant that started out good but has become spectacular. This confident Parisian-style brasserie created by celebrated chef Terrance Brennan offers something for every taste, including a wonderful fish and chips that features featherweight catfish sided with wobbly fries and a cup of unusual slaw.

A very enjoyable bistro atmosphere in a neighborhood not known for great places. The cheese counter is special, making the cheese/fruit/meat plate an excellent choice. Worth a try.

The fondue is great. Consider it for both an appetizer and a dessert.

GREAT DATE SPOT! Wine list is enormous, a surprising selection of craft beers, and a large menu. I only come here for the fondue. I recommend the Gruyere.
